LOREN C. HAGLER.
One of the men who has stamped the impress of his strong individuality upon the minds of the people of Lemoore
is Loren C. Hagler, the energetic manager of the Central Lumber Company at Lemoore. He was born in Murphysboro,
Illinois, on the 17th day of November, 1885, and was reared on the paternal homestead, acquiring his education
in the district schools of that locality. He came to California in 1907, arriving in Hanford on November 7th, and
for a time was variously employed here. He learned the trade of carpenter and in that capacity entered the employ
of the Southern Pacific Railroad. In 1910 he went to work for the Central Lumber Company in Hanford, where he learned
the business in all its details. On November 1, 1924, he was made manager of the Lemoore branch of the Central
Lumber Company, which position he has shown himself eminently qualified to fill. This company does a large business
throughout this locality and Mr. Hagler's aim is to make his company's service indispensable to those desiring
material in his line.
Mr. Hagler was married to Miss Chloe M. Carey, who was born and reared in the state of Illinois, and they have
a daughter: Helen Anne, who was born October 7, 1908. Mr. Hagler is a member of the Woodmen of the World and of
Hanford Lodge No. 1259, Benevolent Protective Order of Elks. He is universally recognized as a splendid citizen
and because of his genial manner and personal worth he enjoys the respect and esteem of all who know him.
