EDWIN H. STOWE, ex judge of the court of common pleas, and for many years a resident of Pittsburg, was born
in Beaver county, Pa., Jan. 2, 1826, where he spent his boyhood. He was educated in Washington college. After being
admitted to the bar, he spent many years in the successful practice of his profession, and was then elected to
his present office. Judge Stowe has the distinction of being the oldest judge in commission in the State of Pennsylvania.
He has been reelected to his position a number of times, and, although in politics a republican, his election has
several times received the indorsement of both parties, showing the high esteem in which he is held in Pittsburg.
