RICHARD W. WILLIAMS was born in Wales in 1796, and was a native of the Isle of Anglesea. He married Jane Davis,
by whom he had seven children, all born in Wales, and all emigrated to this country. After the death of his first
wife, he married Sarah James, of Pittsburg, a native of Wales, now deceased. He died in 1876, at eighty one years
of age. He came to this country in 1832, and first settled in Madison county, New York, then in Allegheny county,
Pa., and from thence to Green township. He was one of the men interested in the establishment of a Welsh church
and Sunday school near the premises.
