JESSE BRINKER FOIGHT, a representative business man of Irwin, Pennsylvania, was born at Export, Penn township, Westmoreland county, Pennsylvania, April 6, I88o, a son of John George and Mary Emeline (Brinker) Foight, whose personal history and that of their ancestors is found in the sketch of Samuel Berlin Foight.

Jesse B. Foight received a common school education which thoroughly qualified him for the duties and responsibilities of life. He was reared under the parental roof, and upon attaining young manhood engaged in the dairy business in Irwin, building up a large and profitable route, from which he derived for many years a comfortable livelihood. He is now giving his attention to the grocery business at No. 519 Main street, Irwin, and by dint of unremitting toil and straightforward methods is now enjoying a fair share of the patronage of the best families of the community. In religion he advocates the tenets of the Reformed church, and in politics gives his allegiance to the Republican party, the principles of which he believes to be for the best from of government. He is a member of Turtle Creek Lodge. No. 777, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, of Turtle Creek, and the Woodman's Lodge of Irwin. Mr. Foight married, January 18, 1905. Eva Frye, born August 19, 1886, daughter of Adam and Anna (Painter) Frye.
